Gerri McHugh
As a lifelong equestrian, I began riding pretty close to the same time I began to walk. I grew up competing on both 4-H and breed circuits. As a young teen I switched over to the Hunter/Jumper discipline, competing on the MHJA, EWHA and LEHS circuits. I was a member of the Michigan State Equestrian Team while earning a BA in Communications from MSU. Once an adult, I focused primarily on the jumper ring in the years between finishing my education and starting my family.
I began teaching and taking clients to local, regional, and national competitions in 2000. Trinity riders have enjoyed much success on the Michigan Hunter Jumper Association and have competed at USEF Pony Finals in the hunters, jumpers, and medal, as well as Taylor Harris Children's Medal Finals, Maclay Regionals and USEF Hunt Seat Medal Finals.
I strive to remain up-to-date with the always changing trends within the Hunter/Jumper world. However, my commitment to classical huntseat equitation remains the foundation of my teaching. I am a board member of the Michigan Hunter Jumper Association. I have also had the good fortune of working as a vet assistant for a large equine practice for several years, adding another dimension to my knowledge as a horseman.

What makes us Trinity...

We call ourselves "Trinity Farms" because of the involvement of my daughters, Tess and Meg, from the inception of the business in 2012. Both girls have served as assistant trainers, riders, and grooms over the years. Although they will both be stepping away from the business to pursue other careers: Tess in medicine, and Meg as a case analyst for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, they will remain long-distance assets to Trinity Farms!
